The modern Appaloosa is still an extremely versatile horse. Its uses include pleasure & long-distance trail riding, working cattle & rodeo events, racing, & many other Western & English riding sports. It is generally agreed that Appaloosas are playful, sociable, & quite intelligent. The Appaloosa is a horse breed associated historically with the Nez Perce (Niimipu) Tribe. The name may originate from “a Palouse,” which referred to the region where the horses were bred. Need a kid-friendly horse: Appaloosas are also known for their ability to teach youth to ride & love horses. Their kind temperament & calm personality make them a favorite among children & young adults.Charming & flashy, Appaloosa horses are another great choice for a beginner. These horses are docile & willing. They are also loyal & able to bond with their owners. With only 109 true Appaloosas left in the world. Pedigreed Appaloosas must have at least one ApHC-registered parent (sire or dam) classified as Regular (#). The other parent may be registered with the ApHC, or an ApHC-Approved Breed Association: American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), Jockey Club (Thoroughbred), or Arabian Horse Association (AHA or WAHO). Appaloosa hold a very special place in our hearts & we hope you grow to love them as much as we do.

Foals are not weaned from mom until 6 months old

You must be able to pick up your Foal within 10 days of it being weaned

If you are unable to pick up your Foal within the 10 days there is a boarding fee
